Synopsis: Site developed for a funeral home which wanted to offer information on it's services and pricing. In addition, site wanted to provide resources for customers to help in the planning and burial process. Client wanted to offer posting of obituaries on the site and allow visitors to post condolences. A Wordpress installation was heavily modified and integrated into the site design for this purpose. The owner had previously run an "Ask the Funeral Director" feature in a local paper and wanted the articles place on the site, with the ability for customers to submit new questions. A FAQ package was integrated into the site for this purpose, and Mirz-Jiles created a translated version (Spanish) as well. An open-source calendar program was heavily modified to allow the funeral home to easily post information on services and upcoming events. A special content management system was created for customer which allowed staff to access the various compenents of the site design and easily update the site.
